Census 2010 figures show Scott County losing approximately 1% of its population in the 10-year period between 2000 & 2010. Current population is 23,177, down from 23,403. Lee Co. shows increase of 8.5% to 25,587, perhaps from inmates at fed prison. W
It's wasn't a unanimous vote on the elk issue. Dr. David Redwine & Danny Parks voted against the motion to withdraw the county's support of elk restoration. The five other board members were in favor.
