The Montgomery Township Earth Day Celebration brought out hundreds on April 10. A little early, but it worked.
10 high school level bands performed during the 2011 MHS Jazz Festival on April 8. They were amazingly good groups, with terrific charts.

The Orchard Hills Elementary School PTA ran their annual Girl's Night Out Fundraiser at the Princeton Elks on March 18.
MUMS competing in the Science Olympiads - a very strong team. The Tower event was a clear winner, with the lightest tower to take over 15KG.
The first of 4 classes on Asian Cooking. This one concentrated on cooking dumplings. The next, march 18, is on preparing Sushi. After that, Indian Paneer Makhani, then Indian Samosas. This class was great fun, and the proof was in the eating.

This piece of 911 iron was in a hanger until March 10, 2011, when it was brought to Rocky Hill to become part of a 911 Memorial in Panicaro Park. John Shedd was kind enough to prove a place to store it. Schilke Construction brought it on their flatbed.
The Montgomery Township School Board has issued a bill to Rocky Hill of $1,396,367 (4.54% more than last year’s $1,335,766), which will result in an increase of some $173 per home for Borough taxpayers. This is the same increase Township taxpayers

Stories in the March issue include a rise in crime in the Township, mostly, it would appear, from increased numbers of traffic stops, and the small amount of crime to begin with: robberies are up from 0 to 1.

A snappy Boxing Day Blizzard brought Arctic conditions to NJ, with snowfalls exceeding 14" in Montgomery, wind gusts over 40 knots, and sub freezing conditions. No matter. It was Christmas week and time for kids to have fun.
The fire began in the early morning. Montgomery, Griggstown, Flagtown, MEMS, Hillsborough EMS Rocky Hill, Princeton, Kingston & Hopewell responded. The house was totaled, and 1/3 gone by the time the 1st engines arrived. No injuries reported.

Power restored in Rocky Hill as of 11 am. Some roads still closed, including Sycamore, Montgomery, and in Montgomery Twp, Rt 518 west of Rt. 601 - poles downed by wind.
A series of squalls knocked out power in Rocky Hill and parts of Montgomery, took down a few trees, a did a lot of damage elsewhere in the state during the morning of Nov 17. The biggest gust was around 4:30 am.
Mayor Zimmerman led a small group of Rocky Hill residents in observing Veterans Day on Nov. 14 at Panicaro Park. He noted that two Rocky Hill residents were serving ion the Armed Forces.
Service veterans were invited to the Elks in Skillman for lunch on Veterans Day, Nov. 11.
