Fire destroys truck in Adel
Truck fire today on Fariground Road in Adel. Adel Fire Department quickly got the blaze under control, but not before the vehicle was destroyed. No injuries were reported. Look for photos of fire at adelnews.com.
All area districts have cancelled school for Wednesday, Feb. 2. This includes Adel De Soto-Minburn, Dallas Center-Grimes, Van Meter, Waukee, Earlham, West Central Valley, Woodward-Granger and Perry.

Reports of icey conditions in the sourthern portions of Dallas County and on Interstate 80, be adviced. Emergency services on scene at a vehicle roll over accident on I-80 west bound at the 104 mile marker.
A vehicle has struck the side of the drivers license station in Adel at 918 Court Street, according to emergency radio communication. No life threatening injuries have been reported. Avoid the area if possible due to heavy emergency vehicle traffic.
